Sunew, Brazil’s leading global producer of Organic Photovoltaic Films (OPV), is participating for the third time in “The Big 5 Solar” in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The event takes place between November 25 and 28 and gathers leading companies in the global renewable energy market.

Amidst participants from 134 different nationalities, the Brazilian company – but which is currently present in more than ten countries – will present the largest OPV facilities in the world realized in 3 years of operation in the market.

A demonstration of facade and skylight, with glass laminated OPV (SUNEW GLASS™), is installed in the stand. In addition, the latest product developed by Sunew in partnership with Citydesign, Metalco’s brand (leader in the urban furniture sector), an outdoor environment table with OPV, which feeds a battery for wireless recharge of cell phones, is also being exhibited for the first time. This is another major innovation in smart furniture and IoT, bringing the greenest energy generation increasingly closer to people.

For this edition of The Big 5 Solar, the Sunew’s CEO, Tiago Alves, was invited to speak about Sunew’s performance in the Green Buildings market and the role of OPV in reducing carbon emissions in large urban centers. He highlights the importance of the event and the expectation of the company, which each year expands its boundaries of action and shows that the OPV is already a reality in the market and not just a product of research and development.

“Our company has a very strong purpose, which is to contribute to a more sustainable world and a more green technology for solar energy generation. At this event, Sunew will be showcasing 9 out of the 10 largest OPV installations in the world. Being present here shows the relevance, not only of the company, but also of a segment that is in frank growth,” says Tiago Alves.
