The world’s first OPV installation on a construction site carp was completed on transmission line works in Minas Gerais and Bahia (Linhão TMGBA). The project is the result of a partnership between Andrade Gutierrez, an engineering company with 70 years of experience in large and high performance construction projects, and Sunew.
As it is a temporary, reusable structure, made of a curved canvas commonly assembled in remote places, the carp from the construction site found in Sunew’s OPV an intelligent and sustainable solution, capable of following the routine and the demand for practicality of the carp. In addition to generating power and reducing the diesel consumption of the electric power generators, thanks to the ease of installation and demobilization of the OPV, it can be reused on several construction sites.
Innovative, the Sunew LIGHT™ technology is characterized by a thin, light, flexible film, easy to transport and install, resistant and produced with non-toxic and recyclable materials, which turns sunlight into energy.
